Viking Dash Trail Run Williamsburg

Viking Dash Trail Run Williamsburg will be held on Sunday, October 11 at York River State Park.  Participants can choose from a 5k, 10k and 13.1 mile distances.  The park is known for its rare and delicate estuarine environment, where freshwater and saltwater meet to create a rich habitat for marine and plant life. It is on the York River and is designated as a Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The pristine environment offers clues to a rich natural and cultural history and hosts fossil beds and Colonial and Native American artifacts. More than 30 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails allow visitors to explore the marsh, river shoreline and forests. A boat ramp, fresh and salt water fishing spots, a fishing pier, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and seasonal boat and recreational equipment rentals are available.

10:00 pm - 13.1 Awards Ceremony (Top 3 OA - M/F)
11:00 am - All Athletes Must Finish 

ROUTES.  Participants can choose from a 5k, 10k and 13.1 mile distances.  

AID STATIONS.  Aid stations will be be located every 1.5 to 2 miles along each course and will include:  Water, Gatorade, Pepsi, Cuties, bananas, Fig Newtons, min-pretzels, California Raisins, blueberries & chia seeds.  Sunscreen will also be available.

AWARDS.  Every finisher receives their choice of a 7' Battle Axe or Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer).  Overall awards for the top 3 The Top 3 men and women in each event:  5K, 10K & 13.1.
