Welcome to the BayTrailrunners Vista Verde Skyline Run. Racers will enjoy stunning vistas of the Pacific Coast and of the spectacular Lambert Creek Watershed, Butano Ridge, Portola State Park and the newly opened Mindego Hill! Revel in tree-covered singletrack and wide open trails that roll through pristine grassy meadows, along serene ponds and over smooth flowing creeks. There is no doubt that the views and trails out here are sure to impress all who participate.

Interested in earning a $50 credit towards an upcoming race? We can always use volunteers!

There is a 9 hour time limit for all distances.
50k runners will be turned back and must drop to the marathon distance if they fail to reach the Long Ridge Aid Station by 2:30PM, which equals 7 hours. This is at the 21 mile mark and where the marathon runners turn back.
The 10K does not go out to Mindego Hill.

Parking

Please park in the huge equestrian lot to the left of the entrance. There will be a friendly ranger and volunteer on hand to point you in the right direction. We will have a tent setup here for check-in, bib and shirt distribution. There is no cost to park.

Prizes and Swag

All participants will receive a BayTrailrunners Race T-Shirt. To guarantee your shirt size, you must register by Friday October 15, 2021.

First place finishers will each be awarded a gift card from our race sponsor, A Runners Mind.

Cross the finish line and take home a colorful Vista Verde woodallion race ribbon.

Aid Stations

Aid will be provided on course and at the finish. Expect fruit, carbs, sweets, Spring Sports Nutrition, Skratch Labs hydration supplements, Coke and water. And since we are keeping it green as best as we can, there will be no cups provided at the aid stations. While not required, we strongly recommend that all runners carry some form of hydration pack or water bottle throughout the race.

Due to the limited time for setup, its likely that we will not have any aid for you at the start. Please arrive with a full water bottle to carry with you.

Marathon, Half and 50k runners will have a DIY water stop at the 4 mile mark.
Half Marathon will see full aid 10 miles into the race.
Marathon and 50k runners will see full aid 11.5 miles into the race.
Full aid again for marathon and 50k runners at 15 miles as they pass through the starting area to complete the rest of the course.
At the 22 mile mark, marathon and 50k runners will find more aid.
Full aid again for 50k at 27 miles.
Finish line party with Ramen and hot pancakes!

Restrooms: There is one restroom located in the main lot and another in the handicap parking area. We will also have port-a-potties shipped in. Mindego Hill aid station has one too.

Spectators

Family and friends can cheer on their runners in the Mindego Hill Road parking lot off of Alpine Road and again as they pass through the starting line to complete the second half of the race. No crew or pacers needed but 50K runners can leave a drop bag at the start. We can not be held responsible for lost or stolen items so please keep all your valuables locked in your car.

We will make use of the quality timing software that Ultrasignup provides.
