Walk for the Animals

This 5k trail walk at Moneta Park, is part of Smith Mountain Lake's 50th Anniversary celebration and is sponsored by Jersey Girls of Smith Mountain Lake. All proceeds will benefit the 5 animal rescue organizations in the SML region, which include All American Mutt Rescue, Barn Cat Buddies, The Bedford Humane Society, The Franklin County Humane Society, and Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue. 

Bring the family, friends, and your leashed pet! Bring a photo of your current or previous pet and get a button made! Bandanas for pets, pet vendors, pet adoptions, Homestead Creamery ice cream, music, raffles and more! 

First 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag. 

Early t-shirt pickup on Friday, June 3rd, 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Gifts Ahoy at Bridgewater Plaza, Moneta, VA 24121. 

On site registration starts at 8:30am. 5k trail walk will start at 10:00am and the event will go until 2:00pm . 

Rain or shine event. All dogs must be leashed and have proof of rabies vaccination. NO EXCEPTIONS!
