Warrior Hike

The Market at Grelen invites you to participate in its second annual hiking event to benefit Warrior Expeditions, a non-profit organization helping veterans have a smooth transition from military service back into civilian life.   The founder, Sean Gobin, is a Darden grad and was one of the top 10 CNN heroes in 2015!.  Check out the website @ https://warriorexpeditions.org/. 

The Warrior Hike* event is really FUN!  Hike the beautiful Grelen Trails for as many miles as you can handle.  Pick up tokens along the way and turn them in at the end for a chance to win prizes.  The more you hike, the more raffle tickets you can gather and the better your chances of winning. 

VENUE: The Market at Grelen

COURSE: 3.9 miles of trails thru the nursery, forest and meadow.  Somewhat hilly, but mostly easy terrain.

REGISTRATION:  

Hike $25 (Kids:  Kids 6 and under do not need to register and can do the hike for free with a parent or guardian, however the tokens for raffle prizes can only be collected by the registered adults and 7+ kids.  Non-registered children will not receive a t-shirt).  10/26 is the T-shirt deadline.  We have ordered quite a few extra t-shirts, so If you sign-up after this you will most likely get a t-shirt on the day of the event but may not get a choice of size.  If not, you are still eligible for all of the fabulous raffles (top prize valued at $2500).  

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up:   Nov. 12 at The Market at Grelen shop beginning at 10 a.m.; Hiking starts @ noon.

CELEBRATION:   After the hike, there will be a celebration (think free tastings!) and prizes in the Orchard Overlook tent.    

PRIZES:

You will gather raffle tickets along the hiking route and the more you hike, the more you collect.  Each raffle ticket will count as one chance to win a raffle prize.  Raffle prizes are amazing...you might win gift cards from The Great Outdoor Provision company, Bold Rock "swag," a tour and tasting at Early Mountain Vineyard, a tree from Grelen Nursery or a 2 night stay at Grelen's newest property:  Boxwood Villa!  

The winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m..  You do have to be present to win.
