William H Craig Race for Life 5k

Established to honor the legacy of Dr. Bill Craig and his many contributions to the community. Funds from this event will provide financial support for Girls on the Run, STRIDE, Victory Junction Gang and others.

The William H Craig 5K is the end of the season celebration 5k race for Girls on the Run, Heart & Sole, and STRIDE participants. Come join over 500 boys and girls, grades 3rd-8th, as they celebrate their accomplishments of the season! The 5K starts and ends at Legion Stadium. A fun and festive atmosphere, William H Craig Race for Life 5K celebrates friends, family and wellness! Public runners are welcome as this race provides scholarships to children who need assistance to participate in the Girls on the Run and STRIDE programs. Professional race production by the Wilmington Family YMCA and timing by Brunswick Timing ensures a fun, safe, and accurate 5k race experience!

Girls on the Run and STRIDE participants do not need to register for 5k. Participants are already registered with program registration.

8am Race Start

All Girls on the Run and STRIDE participants need to arrive by 7:00AM

This event is rain or shine! In the event of inclement weather, race directors will be in contact with race participants via email.

PACKET PICKUP and RACE DAY REGISTRATION:  

Packet Pick up is Friday, December 9th from 3:30pm-6pm at Campbell and Covington Orthodontics located across from New Hanover Regional Hospital at 1516 Doctors Circle - Wilmington NC 28401. 

Race Day packet pick up is Saturday, December 10th from 6:30am-7:30am at Legion Stadium. In-person registration is available at packet pickup and on race day.

 

RACE SHIRTS:

Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 450 pre-registered participants who attend packet pickup! As with all races, William H Craig Race for Life 5K organizers will try to the best of their ability to provide runners the size they have requested, however availability of specific sizes cannot be guaranteed. 

 

Y Coastal Carolina Run Series!

 

William H. Craig Race for Life 5k is the final race in the Old North State Wealth Managment Coastal Carolina Run Series!

This yearlong series consists of 12 races across Coastal Carolina including a family-friendly beach obstacle course, 10k road runs, 1 mile fun runs, the traditional 5K distance and a trail runs. Participation is the key! The more races you run, the more the muscles burn, the faster the legs turn, the more points you earn!
