Zombie 5k

Registration and Check-in opens at 8:00 am, the race will start at 9:30 am.

Event Description:

Zombies, RUN! F.C.R is hosting their 5th annual Zombie 5k, an event for family, friends, and fun! This Zombie Run/Walk is like other fun runs with a start and finish line and 3.1 miles in between. Unlike other runs, the Zombie Run/Walk has zombies waiting in a designated "Zombie Zone" to eat your brains (take the flags from your belt), this area is located right at the beginning of the race. Participants can register to be a zombie or participate in the race as a runner/walk! Zombies will be assigned to the "Zombie Zone" and their main goal is to take flags from the runners. The Zombie with the most flags is the Ultimate Zombie! The runners main goal is to survive by keeping all their flags! Runners can also avoid the zombie zone altogether. A prize will be given to the fastest runner, as well as a random raffle and one for the survivors of the race (participants are only eligible to win one raffle). Dogs and strollers are welcome (but cannot go through the zombie zone).

Course Description: The start and finish line of the 5k will be located at Optimist Park (located in West Laramie between West Garfield and Spruce Streets). Participants will begin at the trail head in the park, the optional "Zombie Zone" section will be to the left of the paved trail, and the course continues through the Greenbelt Trail.

Becoming a Zombie: 

Zombies should arrive at the start line at 8:00 - 8:30 am in full costume. Race organizers will have makeup artists available to complete the zombie transformation!
