Here is a selection of Marathons organized in April 2014 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
France – Finistère – Douarnenez
The race is run every other year. It starts under the isolated lighthouse of the Pointe du Raz (the second westernmost extent of France), and finishes in Douarnenez. The course offers a great taste of rugged and wild Brittany.
Ireland – Connacht – Maam Cross
This friendly race is quite hilly and winds through the beautiful Connemara countryside, surrounded by mountains, hills and glacier lakes.
Australia – Australian Capital Territory – Canberra
The route takes in all the iconic landmarks in Australia’s Capital City including a lap around the Parliamentary triangle before a series of laps around the centerpiece of the city, Lake Burly Griffin.
USA – Massachusetts – Boston
After the terrible event last year, 2014 is the perfect year to head to Boston and show that the running community knows when to stick together.
USA – Ohio – Toledo
The scenic road marathon starts and finishes at the University of Toledo campus in West Toledo. It heads west through attractive suburbs and along bike paths through the communities of Ottawa Hills and Sylvania, Ohio.
A few interviews about races held during the month of April have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
