Here is a selection of Marathons organized in August 2014 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
USA – Oregon – Bend
This year, you’ll have the opportunity to discover a new course, run on the trails around Bend, under the shade of the Ponderosa trees, with magnificent views on the Cascade Mountain Range. This is an altitude run. The race starts and finishes 5,500 feet above sea level at Wanogo Sno Park.
Australia – New South Wales – Mudgee
You will certainly appreciate the event for its friendly atmosphere. The course winds through the vineyards and farmland of the Mudgee valley. The race is perfect for a first try on the marathon distance.
Japan – Sapporo
The race is one of the few summer marathons in Japan. It is held in Sapporo, the largest city of the Hokkaido Island. About 12,000 runners are expected to take part in the race.
Guernsey – Footes Lane
You will run through all 10 parishes of Guernsey. It starts with an initial gentle climb for about 3 km then the course is relatively flat, before descending onto our west coast to sea level and to the finish line.
Canada – Alberta – Edmonton
The out and back route is overlooking Edmonton’s beautiful River Valley and takes you through several of Edmonton’s historic and scenic neighborhoods. It starts and finishes at the Shaw Conference Centre.
