“Are you ready Copenhagen?! Copenhagen is ready for you!”, president of the Danish Athletic Federation, Jakob Larsen, called out to the 10,5000 runners right before the start went off for the 5th Powerade Copenhagen Half Marathon this morning.

The weather, the course, and the spectators all worked together to make an amazing race event, concluding with a double Ethiopian win and new course records for both women and men.

Winner of the race was Shumet Mengistu in a time of 1:02,43, while winner of the women’s race was Amane Beriso Shankule running in 1:11,50.
