Marathon results Robert Chemosin (2:09:48) clawed his way past nearly 6,500 runners to win the 33rd annual Vienna City Marathon in Northeastern Austria. Sisay Lemma from Ethiopia won the marathon with a time of 2:07:31. Duncan Koech from Kenya and Siraj Gena also from Ethiopia took the second and third places with respective times of 2:12:14 and 2:12:48. In the women’s race Swiss Franziska Rochat-Moser grabed the victory in 2:30:09. She was followed on the finish line by two runners from Kenya Agnes Mutune

Getu Feleke clocked a superb course record at the 31st Vienna City Marathon. The Ethiopian won the race in good weather conditions with 2:05:41. He was well ahead of the Kenyans Alfred Kering (2:08:28) and Philip Kimutai Sanga (2:08:58). There was a major upset in the women’s race. With 300 metres to go Germany’s Anna Hahner passed a struggling Caroline Chepkwony.
