Here is a selection of Ultramarathons organized in February 2013 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
United Kingdom – England – Saturday February 2, 2013 – 07:30
The single-loop course weaves among the northern Cotswolds through picturesque villages such as Snowshill, Blockley, Temple Guiting, or Great Barrington. With checkpoints at various public houses en route, there will even be a few opportunities to take a short break from the February weather.
USA – Florida – Saturday February 9, 2013
The 25-mile flat course follows forest service roads and sections of the old Norfolk and Southern Rail Trail. The rail trail is mostly paved, with only two miles of gravel. Participants in the 100-mile race will run the loop four times.
Nicaragua – Saturday February 16, 2013 – 04:00
The race takes place on Ometepe, a volcanic island in Lake Nicaragua. The 100K race makes a grand tour of the island, including the Volcan Maderas and Concepcion climbs. The terrain is a mix of dirt trail, paved road, and single track with lots of mud.
A few interviews about races held during the month of February have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
