Here is a selection of Marathons organized in January 2013 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
Philippines – Sunday January 13, 2013 – 04:00
The race is held in Cebu City, the country’s oldest city, seven days before the Sinulog, one of Asia’s biggest festivals. That brings to the race a colorful and festive atmosphere. The race may be a good opportunity to discover the Philippines.
Japan – Sunday January 13, 2013
The race is quite famous and popular in Japan with no less than 18,000 registered runners coming from all over Japan and from Korea or Taiwan.
The course leads the runners through many touristic spots such as Lake Ikeda, Mt. Kaimon or Kagoshima’s Flower Park. What certainly makes the race unique is running through blooming rapeseed fields.
USA – South Carolina – Sunday January 20, 2013 – 08:00
The Charleston races will take you through new downtown Charleston portion for the Marathon and Half Marathon courses. For both races, runners will enjoy scenic water views, the Battery, and the historic King Street.
United Arab Emirates – Friday January 25, 2013 – 07:00
Want to see the world’s tallest building, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination in Dubai? Why not run the Dubai Marathon at the same time?
The course is fast and flat, designed to set new PBs.
New Zealand – Saturday January 26, 2013 – 08:00
The Big Easy Mountain Marathon is the highest Mountain Marathon in New Zealand. Starting at an altitude of 1500 m at the Snow Farm, the course climbs up Mt Pisa (1963m) before running down to the valley at the Albert Town Tavern where the finish line is located. The same course also hosts a Mountain bike race.
