Here is a selection of Marathons organized in June 2013 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
Croatia – Sunday June 2, 2013 – 09:00
The road marathon is run in the Plitvice Lakes National Park, in forests, meadows or along some of the beautiful turquoise lakes the park offers. A great way to discover one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destination!
USA – Utah – Saturday June 8, 2013 – 05:30
The Bear Lake is nested in the Utah/Idaho mountains. The race begins on the scenic east side of the lake, with its beautiful beaches, runs along the shores of the lake southward before turning north to finish in Garden City Park.
USA – Alaska – Saturday June 8, 2013
Follow the footsteps of the Klondike Gold Rush miners. The out and back route is quite hard, featuring several hills. But the reward is the gorgeous views on the Fjord, the Taiya River of the distant West Creek Glacier.
USA – Idaho – Sunday June 9, 2013 – 08:00
The race has an out and back route starting and finishing in St Maries. It is run along the banks of St. Joe River, first upstream than downstream, offering pristine views of the surrounding mountains.
Australia – New South Wales – Sunday June 9, 2013
The race follows an out and back route. The first section is undulating in town, and after about 10K, it reaches the river and follows it until the 21.1K turn around, in a peaceful rural environment.
A few interviews about races held during the month of June have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
