Here is a selection of Ultramarathons organized in June 2015 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
Italy – Veneto – Forno di Zoldo
The partly self-sufficient race is run on alpine trails. It has a +3800m of cumulative elevation gain over 53 km. This is a green race, since it uses and adapts only existing facilities in the valley and has no environmental impact.
Australia – Queensland – Birdsville
The route will take you over unchartered parts of the Simpson Desert, including the world’s longest parallel sand dunes and the famous 40-metre high ‘Big Red’. You will not follow any existing tracks or trails and the terrain will vary from red sand dunes, gibber plains, clay pans, salt flats, dry riverbeds and outback scrub.
United Kingdom – County Borough of Conwy – Rowen
During the Vegan themed race, you will climb all the mountains over 3,000ft in Wales, a challenge also known as Welsh 3,000s. That’s 15 peaks to climb on your way out and 15 on your way back.
