Kongin Boniface and Joan Chelimo win the 2014 Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon

Kongin Boniface crossed the finish line in 1:02:02. Would he have run 11 seconds faster, Kongin would have set a new race record. Last year’s winner Loitarakwai Lengurisi finished second in 1:03:06. Ben Siwa took the third place with a time of 1:04:16. UK’s faster runner Ryan McLeod finished 4th.

The women’s race was won by Joan Chelimo in 1:12:26, just ahead Perendis Lekapana who finished with the same time. The third place went to Emma Stepto in 1:12:28.

15,835 runners finished the race.
