The Marathon de Nantes will take place on April 17th.
Registrations are open since September 15th.
2500 runners are expected this year.
The route is mostly urban. The starting line is on the Nantes Island, under the control of the ‘mechanical elephants’ invented by François Delarozière et Pierre Orefice.
The race then continues on both sides of the Loire river, showing the best of Nantes architectural heritage to the runners : Anne de Bretagne bridge, Château des Ducs de Bretagne, Place Royale, Cathedral, Jardin des plantes, LU tower, Cours des 50 otages …
The organizers are also putting up a half marathon dedicated to wheelchair athletes and a corporate relay marathon.
