With a time of 2h04:29, Wilson Kipsang finished the race 11s faster than the previous record established by Geoffrey Mutai in 2011.
Wilson Kipsang and Stanley Biwott, Kenya finished at the first and second of the men’s race. So did Edna Kiplagat and Florence Kiplagat also from Kenya.
Mo Farah 8th
After his triumphs at London 2012 with two Gold medals on 5,000m and 10,000m , Mo Farah was running his first marathon in London this morning. The press expected him to do as well as Kenenisa Bekele last week in Paris and win the race. Mo couldn’t do better than 8th.
