Here is a selection of Ultramarathons organized in November 2014 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
USA – Florida – St Sebastian River Preserve State Park, Fellsmere
The races are flat and run on hard packed dirt. They follow a 25 mile loop in the wilderness of St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park in Florida. You can run 25, 50, 75 or the full 100 mile route.
Italy – Emilia-Romagna – Salsomaggiore
The road race starts and finishes in the center of Salsomaggiore Terme. The course makes a loop in the surrounding countryside, visiting Vigoleno, Pellegrino Parmense, Pontegrosso or Casalino. The main difficulty it the climb to San Antonio, located 400 m above Salsomaggiore Terme. In 2014 the course is extended from 45 to 50 km.
Argentina – Cerro Aconcagua
This is a high altitude race in the Argentinian Andes, set for experienced mountain runners. After at least two days spent on site to acclimate yourself to the altitude, you will start at the Inca Bridge, and follow the path up to 4,250m above sea level, 2,700 m below the summit of Mt Aconcagua (the highest mountain of the Southern Hemisphere. This is where you’ll turn around and run down along the same path to start/finish line. The whole elevation gain is about 1,500m.
A few interviews about races held during the month of November have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
