Here is a selection of Ultramarathons organized in October 2013 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
Australia – Victoria – Saturday October 12, 2013 – 05:00
It’s one of Australia’s most spectacular and scenic trail ultramarathons. Traversing the spectacular, rugged Shipwreck Coast from Apollo Bay to the 12 Apostles, the Great Ocean Walk winds its way across headlands, along cliff-tops, through rainforest and over beaches.
Argentina – Saturday October 12, 2013 – 07:00
Taste the magic of northwestern Argentina with La Pachamana 50 or 100km: a trail in a sacred region, at high altitude, near Bolivia, where the Andes becomes a mineral world, where the air density is inversely proportional to emotions … Pachamama trail is located between 2,350 and 3,700m above sea level. A race to lift you up, body and soul!
Spain – Andalusia – Saturday October 19, 2013
The race takes place in the Northern Granada province, known as the Last Frontier of Moorish Iberia (Al Andalus). The route takes you through a number of the fortified towns which made up the final line of defense of the Moorish empire. The Ultima Frontera is for anyone serious about ultra- and trail running: a must-do on the list of international race accomplishments.
A few interviews about races held during the month of October have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
