Eliud Kipchoge got a win, finishing with a time of 02:04:17. His victory was the 14th by a Kenyan runner in the British Capital city. He finished 32 secondes ahead of Tola Shura Kitata. Mo Farah got the third place in 02:06:21.
For the women, it was Vivian Cheruiyot who took the top spot in 02:18:31 , followed by Brigid Kosgei who finished with a time of 02:20:13. The third place went to Tadelech Bekele with a time of 02:21:40.
A record number of more than 40,000 runners crossed the finish line, despite a the hottest day ever recorded in the history of the event.
