Jonathan Escalante Phillips paced his way to victory at the Bassingbourn Half Marathon in Hertfordshire, England with a time of 1:14:09. Runner-up Grant Ramsey came in at 1:16:22. Paul Makowski made it into the top three by 31 seconds finishing in 1:17:45.
In the women’s race, Laura Cowley crushed the competition by more than 10 minutes coming in at 1:26:40.
Susanna Hill finished second with a time of 1:37:33. The only other participant to finish under one hour and 40 minutes, Emily Reid ran a 1:38:13, good enough for third.
