Dave Berdan (2:30:22) beat more than 2,500 runners to take the top spot in the Baltimore Marathon for the second time in three years. The 15th annual run in Maryland made its way through the Maryland Zoo, past a pair of lakes, around part of the Patapsco River, taking in Camden Yards (Baltimore Orioles) and ending next to M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens). Runner-up Jeremy Bennie finished with a time of 2:35:16. Last year’s winner Brian Rosenberg rounded out the top three at 2:37:28. He finished third in 2013 as well. For the women, it was Caitlin Gaughan (2:58:13) taking the top spot in her first attempt at a marathon. She was the only runner to eclipse three hours. Denise Knickman secured second with a time of 3:06:55. She finished fifth in 2013. Emily Ballantyne (3:10:51) finished just seconds ahead of Lauren Woolley (3:10:58) for third.
