Riley Cook (1:06:03.2) came in ahead of more than 1,200 runners to win the Top of Utah Half Marathon.
The USAT&F certified course starts seven miles up Blacksmith Fork Canyon in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, working its way along the Blacksmith Fork River, passing through the towns of Nibley and Millville, ending in Providence, just south of Logan.
After missing the podium by a spot in 2014, Jason Holt (1:07:15.2) returned to take second with a time of 1:07:15.2.
Michael Hardy (1:07:44.7) rounded out the top three.
For the women, it was Merrilee Blackham defending her title with a time of 1:17:52.9.
Emily Jameson (1:20:40.1) secured second, despite coming in over a minute slower than her third place finish from a year ago.
Alyssa Girardo (1:20:56.6) edged Christina Perry (1:21:06.8) by 10 seconds for third.
