Jo Corbett (1:11:09) knocked off a field of nearly 1,600 runners to win the 30th annual Gosport Half Marathon in southern England.
He cut close to a minute from his ninth-place finish a year ago.
James Connor finished a close second at 1:11:45.
Richard Waldron (1:12:04) managed to hold off David Meacock (1:12:13) for third.
For the women, it was last year’s runner-up Sarah Hill (1:20:29) taking the top spot, despite coming in more than 30 seconds slower than in 2014.
Sarah Kingston secured second with a time of 1:22:33.
She finished sixth with a similar time a year ago.
In a tight race for third, Jessica Bennett (1:25:05) beat out Lesley Locks (1:25:20).
Lock finished ninth in 2014.
