The number of women taking part also grew. They now represent 27% of the runners.

The race was won by a quartet of Kenyans among which Gilbert KIPRUTO KIRWA was the fastest, completing the race in 00:59:05, followed by Japhet KIPCHICHIR KIPKORIR (59:54) and Emmanuel OLIAUDO NGATUNY (1:00:02).

The podium for the ladies race is 100% Belgium. Ria THIENPONDT wins the race in 1:17:21. Fatima BAOUF (01:17:26) takes the second place and Virginie VANDROOGENBROECK (01:17:41) the third.

As he did last year, King Philippe took part in the race, but couldn’t run faster than in 2013. He finished in 1:58:16.
