Once again, runners packed the streets of Gothenburg (Göteborg) the second largest city in Sweden to take part in the §race_link(13063) . With 45,149 finishers, the race should maintain its status as the largest Half Marathon in the world and the largest event in Sweden.
Richard Mengich took top honors by finishing the race in 00:59:35, followed by Geoffrey Yegon who finished with a time of 01:00:12. Leonard Langat got the third place in 01:01:40.
In the women’s race, Viola Jepchumba took top honors by finishing the race in 01:08:01 , ahead of Worknesh Degefa (01:08:54). While Angela Tanui came in third at 01:09:32
