Marathon results
Richard Kessio (2:31:31) came in almost half an hour ahead of more than 350 participants to defend his title in the Bass Pro Shops Conservation Marathon in Springfield, Missouri.
He has now won the event in three of the last four years.
Nathaniel Hay (3:00:18) finished just a minute ahead of Travis Dillard (3:01:19) to take second.
For the women, it was Sara Ibbetson winning with similar ease.
Her time of 3:06:57 was good for sixth overall.
Devra Gower earned runner-up honors with a time of 3:27:24.
She cut just over a minute from her fourth-place finish a year ago.
Jamie Vest (3:30:36) rounded out the top three with a time of 3:30:36.

Scott Downard (1:10:19) bested more than 1,400 runners to win the Maynard Cohick Half Marathon.
Derek Lee repeated as runner-up coming in at 1:10:52.
Last year’s winner Austin Jacobs rounded out the top three with a time of 1:12:39.
For the women, it was Kimi Reed defending her title in the main event.
Her time of 1:17:36 was good for fourth overall.
She’s now won it in three of the last four years.
Finishing sixth overall and second among females was Nicole Benson (1:24:12).
Emily Luciano (1:34:04) edged out Alicia Spies (1:34:29) for third.
