Results: Malyo bests large field in Brighton

Marathon results

Finishing just 31 seconds away from a Brighton Marathon course record, Duncan Maiyo (2:09:56) made it look easy off the southern coast of England.
Raymond Chemungor earned runner-up honors with a time of 2:10:55.
In a tight race for third, Edwin Kiptoo (2:11:29) edged Joel Kimutal (2:11:55).
Nearly 11,000 runners notched finishes in the seventh edition of event.


For the women, it was Grace Momanl (2:34:16) getting the win, while Asnakech Mengistu managed second with a time of 2:35:42.
The pair placed sixth and seventh overall.
Rounding out the women’s podium was last year’s winner Peninah Wanjiru at 2:43:38.
