Half Marathon results
Jonnathan Varela Obando (1:14:14) outran more than 6,600 runners to win the Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon in California.
The hilly race began at the Golden Gate Park and included a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge and plenty of time working through the Presidio.
Tyler Wasieleski took second with a time of 1:16:31.
Third place was decided by just seconds with Ben Goldman (1:20:08) besting Derek Lactaoen (1:20:15).

For the women, it was, Alisa Macdonald coming in comfortably ahead of the field.
Her mark of 1:22:10 was good for ninth overall.
Morgan Larson earned runner-up honors with a time of 1:27:11.
Janet Mulvey came in a close third at 1:27:45.
