In his first full marathon, Oscar Ogwaro (2:28:19) outran almost 1,400 runners to win the 10th annual Georgia Marathon, held in Atlanta.
Bryon Morseman earned runner-up honors with a time of 2:30:11.
Shlomo Fishman (2:43:09) finished a distance third.
The state capital city tour starts and finishes at Centennial Olympic Park.

For the women, it was Kathleen Turchin (3:03:22) taking the top spot.
Last year’s winner Kaye Anne Starosckiak secured second with a time of 3:05:43.
Mariska Van Rooden (3:13:33) rounded out the top three.

Dan Swain (1:11:06) bested more than 5,900 runners to win the Georgia Half Marathon.
Finishing a close second was Dougie Coffed with a time of 1:11:27.
Perry Griffith (1:13:21) graced the podium in third.

For the women, it last year’s runner-up was Tara Mooney (1:25:55) cutting close to a minute from her mark a year ago to get the win.
Ana Nicole notched second with a time 1:26:47.
In a tight race for third, Veronica Amele (1:28:01) finished just ahead of Lisa Gallagher (1:28:10).
