The top four spots in the Rock’n’Roll Dublin Half Marathon were decided by less than a minute with Paul Pollock (1:05:06) edging Mick Clohisey (1:05:17) along with more than 5,000 other runners in Ireland to finish first.
Clohisey finished third a year ago.
Starting along the Liffey River, the street course through Dublin is accompanied by live music and ends in Europe’s largest park (Phoenix).
Kevin Seaward (1:05:48) finished a few strides ahead of Mark Hanrahan (1:05:58) to round out the top three.
For the women, it was Lizzie Lee legging out a victory with a time of 1:13:24.
Sarah Mulligan (1:17:32) was the only other runner to finish under an hour and 20 minutes.
Ciara Hickey (1:21:44) held off Norah Newcombe (1:22:48) for third.
