Half Marathon results
After back-to-back second place finishes in 2012 and 2013, Malcom Richards (1:07:06) made a returned to the podium in the sixth-annual San Francisco Giant Race Half Marathon with a winning time of 1:07:06.
More than 3,800 runners worked their way up and down the California coastline before crossing the finish line on the field inside AT&T Park.
Last year’s winner, Chris Chavez came in second with a time of 1:07:45.
Chavez has placed in each of the last four years, finishing third in 2012 and as the runner-up in 2011.
Damon Valenzona (1:12:13) was the only other runner to clear an hour and 15 minutes.
For the women, it was Julie Woodruff (1:21:04) by less than a minute over Brooke Wells (1:21:50) for first.
Wells cut more than a minute from her fourth-place finish in 2014.
Returning to the top three was last year’s winner, Shaluinn Fullove with a time of 1:24:51.
More than five minutes slower than her 2015 finish.
