Last year’s United Airlines NYC Half Marathon runner-up Stephen Sambu (1:01:16) bested more than 20,100 runners to win the event in New York City.
He also finished second in 2014.
In this year’s race, Wilson Chebet (1:01:35) came in seconds ahead Sam Chelanga (1:01:43) for second.
Chelanga took sixth in 2013.

For the women, it was Molly Huddle (1:07:41) coming in less than a tenth of a second ahead of Joyce Chepkirui (1:07:41) to defend her title.
The pair broke the course record and the American women’s-only half marathon mark in the process.
Chepkirui finished second to Huddle last year by 11 seconds.
Taking third in this year’s race was Diane Nukuri with a time of 1:09:41.
She finished sixth in 2014.
