Marathon results
Dino Sefir (2:09:31) defeated more than 16,900 runners to win the 39th annual Marato de Barcelona off the east coast of Spain.
Albert Korir (2:10:08) came in just 15 seconds ahead of Jafred Chirchir Kipchumba (2:10:23) to take second.

For the women, it was Valary Jemeli Aiyabei (2:25:26) setting multiple records, including the Spanish women’s all-comers mark to beat.
Her time of 2:25:26 was also a course record and a personal best.
Last year’s winner Aynalem Kassahun earned runner-up honors with a time of 2:30:50.
Motu Megersa (2:32:06) rounded out the top three.
