Ben Siwa (1:02:06) cut just over two minutes from his third-place finish a year ago to win the 13th annual Cardiff Half Marathon in Wales. Close to 16,000 runners completed the course which includes a bop around Cardiff Bay. Tying for second were Gideon Kimosop and Assefa Bekele at 1:03:09. Dan Tanui (1:03:11) finished just a few steps behind in fourth. For the women, it was the top three spots being decided by a total of five seconds. Lenah Jerotich (1:11:29) managed to hold off Demaris Kemunto Areba (1:11:31) and Jess Coulson (1:11:34) for first.
