Steve Slaby (2:38:15) bested more than 1,600 runners to win the Amica Seattle Marathon in Washington.
The USATF certified Boston Marathon qualifying course which starts at the Seattle Center, works its way out to Mercer Island then on down the coast, looping around Seward Park headed back towards the start.
Brendan Lunty earned runner-up honors with a time of 2:39:36.
Last year’s winner Shaun Frandsen (2:40:04) came in just ahead of Joe Berger (2:40:45) for third.
For the women, it was Sophia Liu (2:58:39) defending her title, despite coming in more than a minute slower than her winning mark from a year ago.
Johanna Torgesen rook second with a time of 3:03:22.
Maria Dr (3:04:32) rounded out the top three.

Dylan Peterson (1:14:25) outpaced more than 4,700 runners to win the Amica Seattle Half Marathon.
He finished sixth in 2012.
Chip Jackson (1:16:15) came in just ahead of Aaron Campbell (1:16:51) to secure second.
Jackson finished third a year ago.
Campbell came in fourth.
For the women, it was Gina Slaby (1:20:52) taking the top spot.
Runner-up Larissa Kolasinski (1:23:47) cut more than five minutes from her ninth-place finish a year ago.
In a tight race for third, Meghan Lyle (1:25:11) managed to hold off Kate Impastato (1:25:23).
Lyle finished fourth in 2014.
