After a fifth place finish a year ago, Anthony Taylor took first in the third annual Southport Half Marathon in England with a time of 1:14:27.
The top four runners all finished within a minute of each other, with Matthew Rushbrook (1:14:57) edging Lawrence Avery (1:15:01) by just a few strides for second.
In the women’s race, Jennifer Clague claimed first with a time of 1:27:46. She finished third a year ago.
Charlotte Mason was the only other runner to complete the course in less than an hour and 30 minutes, coming in second at 1:29:00.
Kath Brougham finished third with a time of 1:30:29.
