Sisay Lemma from Ethiopia won the marathon with a time of 2:07:31. Duncan Koech from Kenya and Siraj Gena also from Ethiopia took the second and third places with respective times of 2:12:14 and 2:12:48.
In the women’s race Swiss Franziska Rochat-Moser grabed the victory in 2:30:09. She was followed on the finish line by two runners from Kenya Agnes Mutune (2:30:19) and Esther Chemtai (2:30:32)
