Here is a selection of Half Marathons organized in September 2015 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
USA – Michigan – Iron Mountain
The race offers a diverse course through historic downtown Iron Mountain, over the Chapin Mine Pit, around beautiful Lake Antoine and into the picturesque Fumee Lake Natural area, before getting back to downtown Iron Mountain.
Thailand – Kanchanaburi
The River Kwai Half Marathon is the oldest road race in Thailand. The out and back course will have you climb during the first half before turning around and running down to the finish line. You’re almost guarantied to get a negative split!
United Kingdom – Newcastle upon Tyne – NewCastle
The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the UK with more than 40 000 finishers. Starting in Newcastle, you will cross the iconic Tyne Bridge, run through Gateshead, pass the famous international athletics stadium and finish in the coastal town of South Shields.
Germany – Rhineland-Palatinate – 53560 Vettelschoss
You will run almost the whole course on scenic paved forest paths through the borderland between Westerwald and Siebengebirge, with many spectators cheering you up along the way
USA – New Mexico – Santa Fe
This is New Mexico’s fastest half marathon thanks to its 1,000 foot downhill and scenic course. You’ll run past the Santa Fe Opera, Camel Rock and through the Tesuque Pueblo on your way to Pojoaque.
