Here is a selection of Marathons organized in September 2015 that were previously featured in our monthly newsletter.
Indonesia – Wonokitri Village, Tengger, East Java
The beautiful and challenging course will immerse you in the true village life of the Tengger, living in East Java’s Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. The organizers want to promote cross-cultural interaction and peace through mutual understanding.
USA – Ohio – Wright-Patterson AFB
The marathon takes place in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, located where the Wright Brothers made their historic first airplane flight. The course will take you to the field where it happened and to the Wright Brothers Memorial Monument.
Norway – Oslo
You’ll run two laps around the capital city of Norway, visiting Skøyen, Frogner and Akershusstranda, Aker Brygge, Akershus Fortress Greenland and Karl Johans Gate. The race starts and finishes at the Town Hall Square.
Austria – Wachau
The race takes place in the wine country of the Wachau valley. The flat and fast course starts in Emmerdorf and goes upstream along the Danube to Krems where the finish line is located.
United Kingdom – Bath and North East Somerset – Bath
You’ll run in Bath’s historic center, passing by landmarks such as Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey as well as beautiful verdant valleys. You’ll certainly remember the 4 km (yes 4 km) you’ll have to run underground through newly restored railway tunnels.
A few interviews about races held during the month of September have already been published in this blog. Check them out.
