If you’ve never heard of the race, here is the pitch: Imagine a 26.2-mile long wine tasting event + a costume party for grown ups!
Each year about 9,000 runners take part in this fun race, making it one of the largest organized in France. The runners come from all over the world (more than 30% of the bibs are dedicated to foreign runners).
The course visits 50 different châteaux and 25 stops are organized where the runners are able to taste wine, or eat regional specialties (oysters, beef, cheese). This is not the race you should pick to set a new PB, you would miss most of the fun!
The theme this year is “Countries of the World and their Carnivals”.
