Results: Way and Wookey win in Wales

Half Marathon results

Steve Way (1:12:39) bested more than 2,300 participants to win the second running of the Old Severn Bridge Half Marathon starting and ending in Wales.
The course crosses the Severn River into England, looping through Thornbury, north of Bristol, before returning back across the bridge.
Runner-up, Paul Griffiths (1:13:23) cut almost five and a half minutes from his seventh-place finish a year ago to take second.
Last year’s winner, Stephen Paterson (1:13:59), finished third despite coming in 27 seconds faster than his time in 2014.


For the women, it was inaugural runner-up Emma Wookey (1:20:03) cutting just over a minute from her time a year ago, to take the top spot.
Sally Wilder secured second with a time of 1:27:37.
Rounding out the top three was Nicola Gething (1:27:55), who cut almost two minutes from her eighth-place finish in 2014.
