The race begins in one far-flung corner of the city and ends in another - neither very accessible. But the 26 miles in between is pretty good. Well-organised, plenty of water, Gatorade and fruit stations. Good marshalling and a route that takes in many of the Buenos Aires sights - La Boca, the Plaza de Mayo, the ecological reserve and the River Plate. You're never going to get many spectators on a Sunday morning in Buenos Aires - especially if it's raining, as it was for the 2008 race. But generally a good race, which I would do again.

I run Buenos Aires in 2008 and I enjoyed it. The first 15 kilometers leads over the motorway but then you turn into the widest street of the world (Avenida 9 de Julio), pass obelisco, Plaza de Mayo and the futbol stadium of Boca Juniors in the quarter of Boca. Then San Telmo, Puerto Madero and Aeroparque airport. Afterwards the stadium of the other great team: River Plate, bevor you cross the finish-line.. Buenos Aires is a wonderful and incredible city!
