Please join us for our 21st year as we honor our fallen law enforcement heroes. These officers have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our city and its people. Ron Dean #551 and Dewayne Williams #904 were with the Shreveport Police
Department. On December 16, 1992 Ron Dean was fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant for narcotics at the Pines Apartments. On March 3, 1993 Dewayne Williams was fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant for narcotics at a home on Magnolia Ave. They were both supporters of Special Olympics during their law enforcement careers. Shreveport Police Officers along with other law enforcement agencies and civilians participate in this run each year. This run is not only in memory of Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams, it is in memory of all fallen law enforcement officers.
All funds raised are donated to Louisiana Special Olympics

Date & Starting Times: Saturday, May 21, 2016 LAW Relay starts at 7:30 a.m. (Two Person Teams, each run 1.5 miles, you must be a current or retired law enforcement officer or military to participate in the relay). 1/2 mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.,
5K Run starts at 8:30 a.m.

Early Registration: Online registration @ www.sportspectrumusa.com. Early registration fee is $20.00 until April 29th after that the fee is $25.00. Race day fee $30.00. You can also register at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport with cash, check or credit card.

Race Packet: Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2015 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt.

Shirts will be limited to the first 300, so please register early.

You may pick up your packet early at Sportspectrum—Thursday, May 19th from 12pm—7pm and Friday, May 20th from 10am—5:30pm. Race day pick up will be from 7:00—8:15am at the race site.

Course Description: The race will begin at the Police/Firemans Memorial near the Barnwell Center on the Clyde Fant Parkway.

Awards: Overall Male & Female will receive awards.

Divisions are as follows: Male & Female 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & up - 1st & 2nd age group winners receive awards.

Law Enforcement Awards: The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will each receive an award.

Special Note: Under RRCA regulations, absolutely no baby joggers, bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades will be allowed.

Divisions are as follows: Male & Female 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
