Quadrant 5k Runtoberfest

A competitive and fun run with Beer, Money & Giving Back. The Quadrant 5k Runtoberfest will take place on October 22, 2016 at European Street in Riverside. This awesome event will prequel the European Street Oktoberfest Celebration. At the conclusion of the race, runners and participants will be able to enjoy the festivities, reward and free beer.

BEANIES

All runners registered two weeks prior to the race are guaranteed to recieve a custom beanie commemorating the event.   All runners registering within two weeks of the race will receive a beanie as supplies permit.

MEDALS

All finishers will receive a custom beer opener medal

GOODIE BAGS

All participants will receive a goodie bag with giveaways and vendor/sponsor handouts.

FREE DRINKS

All registered participants will receive a free Beer upon completion of the race.

The Quadrant 5k Runtoberfest will feature a two heat format.   Participants will select the race they wish to participate in (and provide a qualifying time if entering the Elite Race), during the registration process.  

The Elite Race will be run at 5:00pm and is open to athletes that meet one of the following qualifying standards:

QUALIFYING TIMES

Men's Qualifying Times:
Run a time of 20:00 minutes or less at a road race in 2015
Run at time of 21:00 minutes or less at the Jax Open 5000 on 8/15/15

Women's Qualifying Times:
Run a time of 24:00 minutes or less at a road race in 2015
Run at time of 25:00 minutes or less at the Jax Open 5000 on 8/15/15

Note:  Cash awards will not be given to any participant under the age of 25 that has not completed their college eligibility.    Monetary winnings are subject to all IRS regulations and reporting.

Top Finisher Awards:

The first person across the finish line will receive an authentic belt buckle (with a belt) from the world famous Hofbräuhaus in Munich Germany.

The top 15 Men and top 15 Women will receive an engraved Beer Boot.   Finishers 1 through 7 are eligible for both awards.

Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.   Awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony.  

The Open Race will be run at 5:45pm and is open to all athletes.  There are not any qualifying times for the Open Race.

Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 Plus

Runners will only receive one award:  overall, masters, or an age group award.  Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.  Awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony.   

The ten fastest men and the ten fastest women in the Jax Open 5000 on August 15, 2015 will receive free entry into the Quadrant Runtoberfest 5km.   Times will be based on gun time and the finish and are open to runners in either heat.   For more information on the Jax Open 5000 please follow the link below:

The following race registration fees include all online processing fees through 4:00pm on October 16th.

First 75 People (Registrations 1 to 75) - $17.50

Next 150 People (Registrations 76 to 225) - $22.50

Everyone after 225 total registrations through 4:00pm on October 16, 2015 - $27.50

The run starts and finishes at European Street in Riverside, 2753 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.   There will be water stations on the course and at the finish line.  The CERTIFIED 5k course features a shaded two loop route around Willow Branch Park with some gradual elevation changes for a fast yet challenging course.

That's no mistake, there will be pace groups in the open 5k to help anyone reach that goal they have been shooting for.    This is a great way to qualify for one of the corrals at the Gate River Run.   Pace leaders will be available for the following 5k times:

To join a pace group just meet at the start line 10 minutes prior to the start to find your leader.

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP

Participants may pickup their packets at the race location (European Street, 2753 Park Street
Jacksonville, FL US 32205) - See map below) start at 3:00pm up to 5:00pm.   There is no advanced packet pickup available, just day of race.

This race is featured in the fall season of the 2015 La Carrera De Campeones presented by CORA Rehabilitaion & Sports Medicine race series.   La Carrera De Campeones was the first series to feature a spring and fall season and has the deepest reaching payouts of any series in the area.   For more information about  La Carrera De Campeones please click the link below:

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alternate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.

The race will be chip timed using a timing chip attached to your race bib.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their bib on the front of their shirt or pants to score in the race.  Bibs that are folded or not clearly visible may result in an invalid time.

The Runtoberfest runs were started in 2013 by David Scott and Run4Beer as a fundraiser for Challenged Athletes Foundation.   The race has continued to grow and 2015 promises to be bigger and better than ever with the largest prize money in any 5k even in Northeast Florida during the fall running season.
