Roxbury Rural Run & Kids Country Mile

Join us for this fun and healthy event supporting Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation. The entry fee for the Roxbury Rural Run is $25 through April 19; $30 thereafter. (Register by April 19 to guarantee t-shirt availability.) The entry fee for the Kids’ Country Mile is $5, $10 day of, and includes a t-shirt.

The Kids Country Mile will be run as two events. Children age 5 and under will run the Half Pint Half Mile course in an open field and receive participation ribbons. Children in ages 6-8 and 9-11 will run the Kids Country Mile 1 mile road course and will be chip timed. Trophies will be given for the top 3 male & female finishers in each age group. Participation ribbons will be given to all. As always, parents are encouraged to run along with their young children.

5&10K runners will be chip timed. First place awards will be given to the top male and female in each age division, along with prizes for best overall times male and female. Age divisions for runners in the 5K and 10K are: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+. Enjoy music playing on the grounds to get your blood pumping and energy flowing! Pre-race warm-ups lead by exercise instructors before each event. Porta potties available onsite. For the safety of others, pets are not allowed on the grounds or on the race courses. Jogging strollers welcome. Avoid the parking congestion in Roxbury. Use our continuous shuttle from the Park and Ride at US 12 & Wisconsin 188 from 7AM to 9AM. The return shuttle will run continuously until after the awards presentation. Directions to the Dorf Haus: From west side of Madison, take USH 12 north toward Sauk City. Turn right (north) on Cty Hwy KP, left on Cty Hwy Y. From I94/I39, take Hwy 19 through Waunakee to USH 12. Turn right (NW) on USH 12. Turn right on KP, left on Y. From Sauk City, take USH 12 SE toward Madison. Turn left on Cty Hwy Y. The Park and Ride is located at the intersection of USH 12 and Wisconsin 188. From Madison & Waunakee, continue past Hwy KP for 4 miles to Wisconsin 188. Turn right onto 188, then right into the park & ride lot. From Sauk City, take USH 12 for 1 mile, then turn left onto 188, right into the park & ride lot.
