Run for the Gold

We cordially invite you to participate in the Light of the World Academy’s Annual RUN FOR THE GOLD 5K and Kids Run. This event will take place on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, as part of Pinckney’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. In our previous years, we have hosted anywhere from 300 to 650 runners (depending on March’s weather) and their adoring spectators. The run is a mixture of Michigan country dirt roads, paved trail, and the streets of downtown Pinckney—a course that attracts all types of area runners.

Pricing -  $30 until March 8th, $35 March 9-15, $40 on race day (online registration only). Kids run $10

Schedule - The 5K will begin at 10:00 am followed by the Kids Run at 11:00 am. Awards will be given at 11:30 and the Pinckney St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration kicks off shortly thereafter. 

Medals will be given to the top 3 runners in each age and gender category for the 5k race. Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and older

Kids Fun Run participants will receive a dog tag necklace as they finish.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live and on this website after the race.
