About the event

Kia Ora! Join us for the Taupo Ultramarathon along the shores of Great Lake Taupo, New Zealand. Come tackle the 14 km, 24km, 50km, 74km, 100km or the 100km teams relay option. (While not ultra distances, the 14km and the 24km will give those new to the sport a taste of the experience).
The Taupo Ultramarathon offers runners a once-a-year opportunity to access the spectacular Great Lake Trail uninterrupted over private land. It's an epic journey that showcases the very best of what the Great Lake Taupo region has to offer: lake views, mountain ranges, rivers, waterfalls, and native forest.
Whatever your challenge - whether you are an elite athlete pushing for a personal best, or a first-timer wanting to complete your chosen distance - the Taupo Ultra Marathon is a must-do. Come and challenge yourself on some of the world’s most beautiful trails.
A huge thanks to the land owners, trail builders, community organisations and many others who make this event possible.
We look forward to seeing you on the startline!
