Cartaxo, located about 50km from Lisbon, is a riverside municipality in the Ribatejo region, where the Tagus River, the culture of wine, bulls, and horses shape the local landscape. The culture of viticulture is deeply entrenched in the history of this area and its people, leaving behind a material and immaterial legacy.
