Hello, on March 5th 2017, you’ll be organizing the 5K Color Fun Run. Can you tell us where it is located?
Hi Ahotu ! Thank you very much for having me on your site ! 5K Color Fun Run will take place at Westgate Entertainment District (www.westgateaz.com), in Glendale Arizona.
I’ve never taken part in a Color Run. Could you explain what a Color Run is? What sets it apart for traditional races?
A Color Run is in the categories of Non-Timed FUN Runs with the theme of this Non-Timed Fun Run being Color. As people run the race route they will run through several color stations, and as they run through the Color Station they will have lots of Color Thrown on them for a fun experience.
This is a great family friendly and friends family event for people who have just started on their running journey, or for seasoned runners looking for a non-stress Non-Timed Fun Run environment.

What kind of route have you set up for the runners? How would you describe it?
The running route will be approximately 3.1 miles stretching around the outside property perimeter of Westgate. The route will be flat and on concrete, with multiple Color Stations, Water Stations, and of course an EPIC Post Race party once the race had ended for both the 10:30 AM Race and 12:00 noon race.
How many runners do you expect on Sunday morning? What type of runners do you plan to attract?
We are expecting around 4,000 runners for this event. The type of runner that we attract are usually fairly active runners that simply enjoy outdoor activities with others like minded fitness friends. Since this is a Non-Timed Fun Run, both families can run together, and Friends of all ages and fitnesses levels can run side by side as well.
At that time of the year, what kind of weather can we expect?
The weather should be right around 75 degrees, so it will be the perfect running weather.
Have you planned festivities around the event?
Yes as runners enter the event there will be inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses for your younger children to enjoy, we will have DJ Fuze from LA’s Power 106 FM playing Top 40, EDM, and Hip Hop music, the clean versions of course through out the race, several Merch giveaways, and of course a legendary Epic Post Race after party. Definitley a day filled with Endless Fun and Great memories for families and friends.
